Re: FS. Trend T11e router 240v

oh waily waily and pig poo!!

I bought a brand new latest T8 a month ago to finish the boys guitar as the previous router proved inadequate. I got 20 years faultless service from a B&Q but a bearing seized and ripped out half the body...it's replacement was a Draper 1/2 inch which I don't recommennd ...

Re: Latest squeeze

Then I artfully came across the new Fender Ultra 2 Stratocaster. This could deffo influence and perhaps improve my playing. Ebony neck, compound radius ( so much easier to bend, if you know what I mean), slinky smooth neck, rolled edges and ebony fretboard. - ...cup runneth over.

Ahh ...

Re: Nothing In Particular

phew... I have retired all mine now. They all seemed to have hardware issues revolving round the watchdog timer and soft reboot area.

thinking about it a bit more....my esp32s were all standalone with sim900 mobile modems so I doubt I would have been vulnerable.

the current weather stations are ...

Re: Latest squeeze

Sometime back my youngest(14) decided he wanted a one string bass and constructed this. It actually played notes!!.

Sometime later he bought himself a neck from somewhere on the net and wanted to nail it to a piece of wood. He bought a bridge and a single coil. At this point I ...

Re: win 11 upgrade to 24H2

Ha!
I've found a workaround if anybody has this problem....

I use advanced IP scanner to interrogate the LAN, and it shows the NAS unit. By clicking the NAS unit in the list it exposes all the shares on the NAS and by clicking on a share it expands the URL of the share in explorer. From there it's ...

win 11 upgrade to 24H2

updated my studio m/c to windows 24H2 and lost access to the NAS. I updated the mem sahib's laptop a few months ago and can't remember the adjustments I made to access the NAS.

I spent 6 hrs yesterday, adjusting the various security settings and turning on the smb-v2/v1 and cifs switches on, as ...

Re: What Are You Listening To Right This Minute?

If it was bgt the singer wouldnt get a chair turn … you know what I mean. A person with a deep bass ability but no quality in his voice. Hope it isnt leonard cohen if it is he needs to throw in the towel.

quite distinctive, put me in mind of Brad Roberts..fwiw, imo there is quality there, but ...

Re: mysterious album

mystery solved

the album is 'mas de los zafiros' by los zafiros.
the track order and track length must be exactly the same as the gehennah album as EZ-CD uses WMP, musicbrainz, discogs, and freedb and it identified the disc incorrectly as gehennah, and set the metadata accordingly.

I have now ...

mysterious album

Seb, my youngest came back from christmas in France with an umarked CD-R and asked me to load it to the system.
I loaded it with EZ-CD and it identified as decibel rebel by a band named gehennah. It's latin salsa type stuff, sung in what sounds like Spanish and all tracks are deffo samba/bossa type ...

Re: Slow Mo MoFo

SE sounds "right" to me, PP never has. Personally I can't compromise on any PP amp I've heard so far, in the mid and treble anyway,. An apparent "congestion" so far I have been able to, but I'm pondering on this. Would much more powerful SE amps solve this? (Lights blue touch paper, retreats safe ...

Re: I have bought a LOT of music this year

ashamed to say I have bought no music this year.

I have consistently listened to radio paradise over the last year... most days... and am happy. Rp has had a bit of a face lift and William, the proprietor,
has sent me, and presumably all contacts, an email to say the main mix is cutting down on the ...

Re: What Are You Listening To Right This Minute?

Humbug.

Whatever you think of Chris Martin, it's a lovely tribute to Dick van Dyke who, considering he's 99 and just won a Prime Time Emmy, is frankly amazing...

+1
If I have to be banned for appreciating Chris Martin' talent, then so be it.....see!, don't care baby bass bro.

btw...pic on ...

Re: What Are You Listening To Right This Minute?

awesome

thanks for that Nick, I hadn't come across him before. There is some mention of him doing something with Tanita Tikaram on wiki. Not sure if it was a tour or whether they collaborated. I liked her back in the day...
