Re: TG "The Loudspeaker" Build (Sort of)
They're a fair bit more expensive than the Rennies so should last much better... Be interested if you find the same as Steve and Max as I need some more - the moisture resistant flooring chipboard ruined mine including an uncut spiral bit I was trying out and overheated before I did much with it. ht...

Re: TG "The Loudspeaker" Build (Sort of)
Wow that's bad luck with the router bits. What brand were they?
I've not use birch ply for 15 years or more, but I can confirm that floor grade chipboard is excessively hard on tools, especially when they hit metal inclusions in the chipboard...

Re: TG "The Loudspeaker" Build (Sort of)
Masks aren't the nicest thing to wear for long periods. There's also a Trend P3 that came out maybe 5 years ago that seemed less clunky? I don't how it performs though, and I quite like that the other straps to my head as it feels secure. https://www.trend-uk.com/stealth-sm-trend-air-stealth-respira...

Re: TG "The Loudspeaker" Build (Sort of)
I'm sure it'll take a while - there's a lot to do and it's supposed to be fun not a chore. One day at a time. :thumbleft: An FP3 mask is good enough for asbestos so should be good enough for wood dust. Perhaps the fit isn't quite a seal? I use one of these and can test the seal - never had any probl...

Re: TG "The Loudspeaker" Build (Sort of)
Looking good, can't wait to see what a 300L cabinet actually looks like. I feel the router pain! I have a big 1/2" Triton in a router table but for free hand stuff I'm still using the half price special from Aldi or Lidl that cost £12.50 in the end. It's not great and I keep thinking I should g...

Nice Steve. Does aluminium work-harden at all or can it be bent "in one"?

I'm no metalbasher Steve, how did you get such a nice corner and straight side at the front?

Re: On My Bench.
Recliner no worky, very serious indeed. Excellent interim solution Dave .
I think you've let yerself go a bit there though, not as neat cutting as previously. It's to be expected though when faced with such an emergency.

Re: Audiojumble 03/03/24
I might be interested in a couple of C3g, a quad even. Then the C3g phono stage I've been working on for the last 18 years on and off might last as long in service...
