With the diode bias there is thee remembrance in old days guys who lived through the era when auto bias became popular, more than a few radio engineers I rubbed shoulders with reported fixed bias sounds better.

I'd be more surprised if your blood pressure did not fluctuate throughout the day.
I believe doctors/hospitals can loan out the sort of device you seek.
My pharmacy loans the 24hr monitoring bp machine (no charge) if GP asks for it and you get your meds through that pharmacy.

The downside is that depending hon how much power you want, it will only do between 2 and 20 laps of Silverstone GP (3.66 miles).
If one were experienced enough two laps of Silverstone on full power would be absolutely thrilling.
I doubt if I could handle it on it's lowest power setting, but I ...
