#1 Low pass bass preamplifier.

Post by pre65 »

My two Chinese low pass bass pre-amp kits were delivered today, very quick and no obvious problems with customs. Total value for 2 was £7.98.

I 've got to populate the boards, then wire everything up to my 50W chip amp.

Might be a while before the next update.

I'm going to try driving the 18" bass unit separately from the mid range and tweeter.

I've felt for a while that the 18" needed more "oomph", so this is a cheap and relatively easy way to have a go.

The Chinese bass preamp has two pots, one for bass frequency and one for sound level. The chip amp and 12v DC power supplys I already have, and the only other thing I had to get was a couple of splitter leads for the inputs. I could have made some but

A) The Ebay ones were inexpensive

B) I couldn't be arsed

C) There is no C (copyright I Ivimey)
