That's an excellent time & good pace - 5min/km was about what I could manage (at a push) for 10km, let alone anywhere near 4 times that!

My youngest is aiming for around that (3:30) in the London Marathon - his best 1/2 is around 1:35 so it's doable - he too would be totally chuffed to be in that region...

thanks Nick
I'm not sure if it's relevant but he turned 40 in March....I'm feeling quite proud of the boy.
He also does those mad mudder things and qualified for the English contingent in the European something or others...

It looks like we have something in common with our offspring..
Both my lads run, the youngest is in training at the moment for something called an ultra marathon, which I believe is with the Beverley running club.
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

I rode a good 20miles in virtual Japan tonight - all good with the knee, no discomfort at all.

Here I am nearing the top of a KOM segment - a fairly leisurely ascent that was well outside my personal best, as you can see from the stats.

This man is apparently an advocate for cycling - how often do you think he actually rides a bike?

I know it's unlikely, but would you be pleased if Charles insulted your wife on a public forum ?

Can I just point out that women are people too and capable of being offended or not all on their own without needing a man to have an opinion.

Well, it's not as if I'm actually wedded to my bike pedals.

Royal family on a bike seems to becoming a bit of a theme here .. ?

Can't offer anything on that, but did go out for the normal out & bike 17m ride just now. I was pretty unfit. Wind seemed to be blowing slightly against me both ways. It could be that I was also slowed down by the weight of greenfly attached to my clothing.
Useful re-start though.
