Yes, I read that this morning, before I went out.

I watch most of JayEmm's videos, as I find them interesting and a lot of his road tests are done on roads local to me.

Here is his video on EVs in general.

Shell quietly pulls the plug on hydrogen in the UK.

Only for cars.

Chicken and egg situation, only a few hydrogen fuelled cars and very few hydrogen filling stations.

I think the message is far more reaching than the headline and not a simple case of chicken and egg. The fundamental issues around production, distribution, storage and being ‘green’ are still barriers to adoption.

Yep, the "only a few" and "very few" is equally true of electric cars and for that mater petrol cars (back in the day), yet they seem to be doing ok.

While its true (I believe) that H2 is possibly an answer to heavy duty stuff and airplanes, it seems to me that H2 is a useful distraction from the fossil fuel industry to get a few more years of relevance and to delay EV adaption.

This is a bit tragic... the salt flats are one of the great wonders of the world and indescribably beautiful... it'd be horrific if they were damaged/destroyed however Bolivia's government have indicated that they want the foreign currency mining would bring...

We haven't been to Bolivia for a while, but it's a wonderful (if complex) country...

I dare say the Bolivian government would find it expedient.

Well they would wouldn't they - who wouldn't!? But then there's a glimmer if hope in Brazil - we'll see.

It's been a while since I've been to Bolivia. After Butch Cassidy and.... well I had to didn't I .

Not quite on topic, but tentative tests by Rolls Royce in running jet engines on hydrogen.

From the same article
But most of the hydrogen produced for industrial use today is obtained from a process which involves mixing high temperature steam with natural gas under high pressure.
