#1 Reflow Soldering for SMD

Post by Ray P »

Yesterday i used our panini press for lunch and thought to myself, 'I wonder how hot the plates get?'. My cheap IR thermometer says the heater element shuts off at around 225°C - that's not very far from solder reflow temperature.

I'm wondering if the domestic iron approach that Nick linked to might work using a similar panini press, or maybe a pancake maker?
