Find out, young fella, and have it on my desk by tomorrow lunchtime.
OK Sir

Stonedhenge - Ten Years After.

It has been 50 years since, let's face it, it was on in the background as a young lady called Minaxi and I disappeared in a puff of dope to explore each others 'psyche'....

Not that interested in what was on the Sondek now either but I'm making a mental note to give it a decent listen, not the least reason that the drummer was Alvin Lee's brother who was for a lovely tingly moment our manager as we plummeted towards Top of the Pops for Xmas. We were gonna be no 1.....

Not

Instead I spent that Christmas near Afula - wonderful Kibbutz.

Bob Dylan buggered off to a Kibbutz and look what happened to him. I came home finally ( after adventures in USA but became an educational psychologist.

Dull.

I only realised a couple of weeks ago that 'Band on the run' was McCartney's third solo album ( or was it fourth ? ).
So I thought it worth checking out the earlier ones. I had no high hopes, and it's fair to say it's patchy at best. There's a lot that sounds like demos you would bring to the studio and work up with the help or two or three good pals , like... John, George, Ringo ... for example ...
Anyway, up to 'Ram' this evening .

More "what I should have been be listening to"...

The daughter of some friends of ours is currently in The Magic Flute at Covent Garden (Royal Opera House).

We had "family & friends" £15 tickets for last night, but for the first time in many many years, I had a nasty cough and couldn't go ...

Rats rats and double rats. £15 quid for a Royal Opera ticket doesn't come around often. Normally a night out there is £150 a ticket for a decent seat, plus a meal & travel, so can easily be £400+ for a night out for two.

It's on for a few more weeks, so we'll try again before it ends...

This is definitely my favourite new thing from the McCartney back-catalogue researches :
