I had a look back through the history of the record and noticed that he passed Fausto Coppi's record at around 48.5 minutes " !

Been out on the bike for 1hr 40 this afternoon, the cloud cleared around 3pm from the South. There were quite a few out on the roads, seemed like some of the early-risers had delayed their rides, with the rain. I chatted briefly to a couple of blokes from Wrexham. Very nice out there, especially the other side of Ruthin.
A few snaps here with my old camera, nothing remarkable :

I've likely missed that, is there a TV programme called 'two blokes from Wrexham ? '

I got the Mavic shoes midweek and fitted shoeplates and went out for 2 hours today Ray. My first effort on shoeplate positioning was close to correct, fore-aft position and angles about right, maybe need to move each one about 1 to 2mm across to increase clearance to the cranks. They are a bit snug across the ball of the foot, but toes have room. Didn't get numb or cold during today's ride.
Weather was not cooperative, started getting wet after 10 mins and then later had about half an hour dry before another long shower on the way back. Better to be out in the fresh air than indoors, anyway.

Good effort Mark and a result with the shoes - I like my Mavic shoes.
I'm riding on Zwift again now for most of my rides, even more so now that the clocks have changed!
Zwift has introduced a new feature that I'm finding a good morivation - on certain segments, particularly climbs, you get a 'ghost' of yourself riding at exactly the speed you did on your previous best over the segment -basically you race against yourself and I've set a few new PBs as a result. I've generally been riding stronger so I'm looking forward to one of the Zwift staged 'tour' events that's taking place during November.

I bought this! It's a Cube Touring and it was love at first sight (pretty much).
Arrived in a box today and this afternoon I've screwed its bits on.
Sorry lighting is rubbish.

Pedals are 'extra'?
(I was given 'basic' pedals, presumably you can choose what you want so manufacturers don't bother putting any on.)
Possibly I may now be able to contribute to this thread ocasionally.

Nice job, Mike. Tells us more - how's the lighting, is it from a front dyno hub ?
I see suspension on the front.
I see you've nice low gearing for those fierce LIncolnshire hills
It'll be loads of fun getting out in the Spring, nice & dry where you live.

Looks like a good purchase Mike, you should have some fun exploring on it - can we expect some youtube videos of your exploits?
Stick with the basic pedals to start with, you probably don't want to try toe-clips just yet!
One question - it looks as though the pannier rack is only attached by two fixings at the bottom, about which it will rotate. and I imaging there should be some other attachment to the frame?
Sorry, I couldn't resist!
#3555 Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.
could it be on back to front?
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be
