They are made from the 25mm offcuts of chipboard from my Swansong speaker build, covered in Maple veneer to match the new speakers. The pedestals are steel tube table legs cut down to length to suit.

You could fit a roomba under each one.

Just been watching “The Footage Detectives” on Talking Pictures TV, hosted by Mike Read and TPTV founder Noel Cronin.
Love this programme. It’s a nice Sunday afternoon view.

Recovering from a walk in the lakes that didn't go to plan. Had to take off my boots and wade across a stream. The swollen river added an extra 6k onto the walk doing a detour to get across it.

Bottom end of borrowdale, coming down off high spy, maiden moor, intent was to go over the Chinese bridge , but the water levels way over the boardwalk. So had to double back to Grange. All streams are swollen, so low level routes more tricky.

Eating scrummy breakfast in the glorious sunshine, lake Windermere lapping and two young swans thinking they want to share my granola and coffee.... could be worse

I'm off to Specsavers this afternoon, my eye test is long overdue.

Although the test is free (cos of my age) I'm paying £10 for an OCT scan.

OCT = An optical coherence tomography scan (commonly referred to as an OCT scan) helps us to view the health of your eyes in greater detail, by allowing us to see what's going on beneath the surface of the eye.

I had that scan last time. Revealed damage to R eye retina. So worth paying

Well, only if they can do something about it or suggest changes you can make to address the problem. Otherwise its just something else to worry about.

Seems I might need a cataract removing in 3 - 5 years time. No other problems were noted. :)

As usual Nick you’re sharp logic is bang on. They didnt give me any comforting words around it or any signs they had a clue what caused it, or what might prevent more of it.

Depends on the type of damage. I've had a lot of surgery on my eyes and many issues are repairable.

What did they tell you? Are you at risk of detachment?

They were clueless or they chose not to elaborate. Either way, what Nick said applies.
