Battery damage caused by what? Manufacturer’s warrantee won’t cover damage caused by collision etc.
"BUT, presumably insurance will cover that "(referring to battery damage).
Yes but at repair estimate of $60K, I would expect an insurance write off.
Well Greg, that's exactly what I said.

I think it's clear he was referring to the part of what you said after the comma about the manufacturer guarantee. Or didn't you mean to say that?

I said the battery was covered by the manufactures for 8 years, we all know manufactures guarantees don't cover accidental damage (of any part of the car) don't we ?

Honestly, I just don't care. I will keep out of it.

Ah, I missed that bit but many thanks for your generous offer of a choice of insults. Merry Christmas to you too!

I'm disappointed Ray, that you think my stance on EVs (or the batteries really) amounts to trolling.
Surely we are all allowed a point of view, even if it does not agree with the one you hold.
As you did not use a "smiley" I take it your comment was serious ?

Also, Ray, do you really understand what trolling is ?
"Trolling is when someone post or comments online to deliberately upset others."
The salient word in that is "deliberately".
If that is what you meant then I am really offended.

Yes Greg, a smiley would have made the post less offensive, and I apologise.

Thank you.
Sorry you’re ‘home alone’. Hope you enjoy your leg of lamb and remember, if you had an EV with power back capability, even a power cut tomorrow wouldn’t stop you from roasting it to perfection
Have a Happy Christmas

Now I realise that Teslarati are enormously biased but this story is worth thinking about (IMHO).

A bit off topic as it's not for road vehicles, but emissions related.
Shit fuel for planes.
How do I donate.
