I saw on YouTube just now, but not had a chance to watch yet.
1) Elon Musk introducing a hydrogen powered car.
2) New type of solar cell which is 267% more efficient.
I've saved to watch later on as I have a busy day ahead.
And, just recently, loads of new ideas for battery construction.

I gave up after 7 minutes of the first one, Click bait.
Given the second is from the same source I will assume its a equal waste of time.
Maybe it would be worth watching video's before posting them?

Motoring and car industry groups have criticised the government's decision to end grants worth £1,500 towards buying electric cars.
The Department for Transport said the plug-in subsidy scheme was being closed with immediate effect.
It said funding would now be "refocussed" towards improving electric vehicle charging.

An interesting video about new Government regulations on smart car chargers and when we are allowed to use them and how much we pay.

Here is a link to the new legislation that comes into effect at the end of June.

I had a skim read, and Its not clear to me if plugging ones electric car into a mains socket (13amp or 30 amp if on a cooker circuit) is classified in law as a "charging point" ?

That’ll charge at a rate of about 7 miles per charge hour. I can’t see much use for it apart from extreme circumstance.pre65 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 8:09 pm Here is a link to the new legislation that comes into effect at the end of June.

Erm, I'm a simple soul and it has occurred to me that what with the soaring price of electricity petrol might be more viable. Not the biggun gas guzzlers but what if we all drove cinquecento type cars!?
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Depends where you charge…even using one of those super fast chargers that charge more per KWh than at home the difference to an average hatchback filling up with ~50 litres of petrol is going to coast you £30-£40 quid more for the same range IE 400-450 miles
