#1 Hammond 400-0-400 HT Transformers

Unread post by Thermionic Idler »

These are about to be liberated from my 300B amps, HT fuse protected so should be good as new:

2 x 375X 155mA: https://www.hammfg.com/part/375X - £80 each or both for £140 - still available
[2 x 378X 230mA: https://www.hammfg.com/part/378X - £90 each or both for £160] --- both 378X now sold.

Any takers? Bear in mind I still need to dismantle the chassis' to get them out.

Perversely, the 375's are more expensive new than the 378's it seems, not sure why you'd want to pay more for less current. :?

There may be 4 chokes available soon as well, I'll put those in a separate listing if I decide to swap those out.

The pair left are Perfect for monoblock 300b’s, its just that I have 4 250 watt 400v transformers. But someone ought to snap the remaining pair.

I just cant buy anything so have to use what I have.

I'll be ordering them imminently - Primary Windings https://primarywindings.com/product/pwh ... a-6-3v-3a/ the frame version will allow me to attach the power supply PCB's vertically. At that rating they should run nice and cool.

EDIT - two of the chokes will be for sale too, will list tomorrow. Mercifully I was at least able to re-use the other two.

Would be nice to see Mackintosh/Quad II pp opt’s with the feedback winding one day.

That looks pretty good value, it's a shame they don't do a similar 400V say tx.

The markings look very much like Danbury, but with a different name?
